Things to Do In Barcelona
There are numerous different things to do in Barcelona and there is going to be something that will suit just about everybody. The city is steeped in culture and has some of the most amazing architecture the world has ever seen.
In fact, as you walk around the streets of the city on a sight seeing tour you will come across buildings that were designed by Antonio Gaudi. The most spectacular of these being the Sagrada Familia, a huge temple that has yet to be completed. If you want rather than walking around the streets viewing its magnificent sights then hire a horse drawn carriage instead. These are situated at the bottom of Las Ramblas and will provide you with the chance to see more of the sights at a pace that will have you relaxing in no time at all.
However if you happen to have children with you during your visit to Barcelona there is plenty available for them to do and which will keep them amused. One of the best places to take them to during a visit to the city is the Zoo located in Ciutadella Park (Parc Ciutadella) along with the Aquarium, which is the largest one to be found in Europe.
However, if you and your family would like to learn more about Spain then take a trip to the Poble Espanyol. This was a village created within Barcelona in 1929 and each building clearly shows the different styles of architecture to be found in Spain. But along with the shops, there are activities that one can watch along with ones that your children can actually participate in as well.
