For those looking for jobs in Barcelona having a good understanding of the Spanish language is preferable. Yet for those who have little or no Spanish there are plenty of jobs available as well.
If you come from one of the countries that is part of the EU (European Union) then you can work in various jobs in this city. For example some students come to the city in order to work and finding themselves working in bars or as waiters or waitresses. Whilst others may prefer to work as aupairs or can seek employment where they teach people to speak English.
When it comes to looking for employment there are numerous English language magazines, which advertise vacancies such as the Barcelona Connect or The Metropolitan. Plus there are numerous websites now to be found online where one can search for a job in this city. Many of these sites will have new jobs come up and which a person may be suitable for on a daily basis.
However, if you are someone who has a good command of the Spanish language both in spoken and written form. The best place to start searching for employment is at one of the temping agencies in the city. Many of these will not only be able to help a person find temporary but also permanent employment if they want.
Along with the person needing to complete the agencies registration forms and providing a good copy of their CV. After completing all the paperwork a person will then be required to undertake a spoken interview in Spanish as well as a number of tests in order for them to assess how good their Spanish actually is.
